Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Duct Expert takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use this website, why we use it, with whom it may be shared and what rights you have.
Information we collect
When you use a contact form, you may provide your first name, last name, phone number, email address and the contents of your message. An email address is required to submit the form; the other information is provided voluntarily.
The server may also log technical information needed for the website's operation and security, including your IP address, the date and time of a request, pages requested, and general browser and device information.
How we use information
We use this information to respond to your request, prepare an estimate or appointment, follow up on service, prevent spam and abuse, protect the website and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Third-party services
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help verify that a request comes from a person and to limit automated submissions. In this context, your IP address and certain technical information are sent to Cloudflare for security purposes.
The home page embeds Google Maps and displays some review profile photos hosted by Google. When this content loads, Google may receive your IP address and information about your browser or device, and may use its own cookies or similar technologies. These services are governed by Cloudflare's and Google's privacy policies.
Hosting, email, technical support or security providers may also process the information needed to provide their services. Some providers may process information outside Québec or Canada, where privacy rules may differ.
Consent
By voluntarily sending us your information, you consent to its use to respond to your request and carry out related follow-up. You may withdraw your consent by writing to us, subject to applicable legal or contractual obligations.
Retention and security
We keep information only for the period reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy and to meet applicable legal, accounting or operational requirements. It is then securely deleted or anonymized.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information from loss, unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure. No method of electronic transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, or its deletion in certain circumstances. Where permitted by law, you may also request that computerized information collected from you be provided in a structured, commonly used technological format. You may ask a question or file a complaint about our privacy practices.
